We surely haven't heard the last from Sony on this one, so stay tuned. It's likely not the only Spider-world we'll get to see, given that whole "ACROSS" thing in the sequel's title. It's all static 2D spaces, with a painterly feel reminiscent of watercolor art.
SPIDERMAN 2 TRAILER MOVIE
True to the series (it's a series now!) aesthetic, the world of 2099 is rendered with a decidedly different look and feel than fans of the first movie will remember. Great question.įrom there we soar off into trailer territory, with a flash of images introducing Miles to the world of 2099, the home of Spider-Man 2099, voiced in this movie by Oscar Isaac.

All of a sudden, Spider-Gwen (Hailee Stanfield) shows up with vague talk of there being a kind of trouble where Miles and his powers can be helpful. We start with Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) lying in his childhood bedroom listening to the same Post Malone track he was singing along to when we met him in the first movie. This first look is a little bit "here's a whole entire scene" and a little bit trailer/sizzle reel.

But wait! There's more.Īcross the Spider-Verse is going to be a two-part story, and we already know when the first part is arriving: Oct. Sony is ready to unleash our first-ever look at Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the sequel to 2018's animated hit, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Here's a surprise for your Saturday night. Watch the official trailer for SpiderManNoWayHome, exclusively in movie theaters December 17. We've also seen multiple previous occasions in which actors have lied about their involvement in Marvel projects ahead of release.Tom Holland recreates Paul Rudd's 'look at us' meme on a sweaty 'Hot Ones' 27:35 We started getting visitors from every universe. The Avengers: Endgame trailer notoriously included multiple changed and unused shots, for example. This new shot may well suggest otherwise – and it would be far from the first time Marvel movies have withheld or obfuscated plot details in trailers. But while we now know that multiple villains from the older Spider-Man movies will be returning, including Alfred Molina's Doc Ock, the Spider-Man actors themselves have repeatedly denied that we'll be seeing a live-action Spidey team-up. Rumours have been flying for months about the return of the two previous Peter Parkers in the new movie (aided by the addition of the MCU multiverse). There is of course the possibility that an edited character could be someone we already know is in the movie – Doctor Strange, for example – but many see this as too much of a coincidence to be anything other than the much-speculated return of Maguire and Garfield. 3nl7EbAYMc- Binge Watch This November 17, 2021Īs you might expect, fans immediately suspected that one or both of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's takes on Spider-Man have been edited out of the shot for the trailer and that, in the final movie, one of them will strike the blow on Lizard in this scene. #SpiderManNoWayHome fans think they edited Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield out of this shot where Lizard gets punched by seemingly no one.

However, as pointed out by Binge Watch This (below), the Brazilian trailer runs for around a second longer, and shows Lizard being seemingly struck in the head by. The shot in question is of Spider-Man leaping towards Lizard, Sandman, and Electro in a construction yard. That included a version posted from the official Sony Pictures Brazil account – but fans noticed that one specific shot runs a little longer than in the English language version, and potentially shows that a character has been edited out of the scene for the trailer. As you'd expect, the new No Way Home trailer was released in multiple territories yesterday, with slight edits made across the world.
